I recently made a Lush order and one of the things I picked up was the ‘Damaged’ Hair Hot Oil Treatment so I thought I would do an in-depth review!

£6.50 for one stick with treatment on (However this has given my two uses and I have medium length hair)

Where To Buy

You can buy this from Lush In-Store and also Lush online.

The Instructions

‘Fill a mug with boiling water (leaving a little space at the top) and simply stir in your hot oil treatment until it has completely melted. Allow the treatment to cool for 20 minutes before applying to dry hair. Sit back and relax for 20 minutes before shampooing out.

Using the Treatment

SO I went ahead and filled the kettle up and boiled the water, poured it into this gorgeous pink mug and placed the Treatment stick in the mug. After doing so I gave it a good mix and just waiting for it to fully dissolve into the water. It took about 3 minutes to do so.

After waiting about 20 minutes the treatment was ready to be used, well cool enough to be! It was quite thick and a nice consistency.

I then went ahead and covered my dry hair in the treatment. I was very apprehensive about this so it took a while! There was about half of the mug left of the hair treatment so I simply popped this in my fridge and I’m going to use it probably in a month or so.

After applying the treatment and waiting 20 minutes, I jumped in the shower and washed my hair. I wanted something light and not a heavy shampoo so I used the Dove ‘Intensive Treatment’ Shampoo and Conditioner. I used a basic shampoo as I wanted to see the full effect of the Treatment.

After showering I simply let my hair air dry after brushing through with my Tangle Teezer Brushes.

Before and After

The first photo shows before, my dry hair in need of some TLC! The second and third photos show how soft and lovely my hair is right now! The colour looks a lot nicer. The general condition feels divine, it doesn’t feel greasy or grim like normal! Overall I am SUPER impressed with this product! I also have enough to do another so I’m excited to do that!

Thank you so much for reading, have you ever tried any of the Lush Hair Treatments before?!
