So I absolutely LOVE The Body Shop but I haven’t really bought much of their skin care recently as its a bit more expensive than drugstore. However, I recently went to the Swindon Outlets as mentioned in a previous blog post and I purchased two items as they were on offer and I had always wanted to try them!
So I picked up (including the two products from previous post)….
- The Body Shop ‘Vitamin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother’ – £17.00
- The Body Shop ‘Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution’ – £13.00
- The Body Shop ‘Wonderblur’ – £18.00
- The Body Shop ‘Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleep Mask’ – £25.00
- The Body Shop ‘Atlas Mountain Rose’ Eau De Toilette – £11.00
- The Body Shop ‘Mineral and Ginger warming massage clay mask’ – £11.00
Firstly, the Vitamin C ‘Skin reviver’ is AMAZING!! I used to use this in year 7 as my best friend at the time would always use it so being a sheep I followed her and joined on the bandwagon! I remember I’d always get one for my birthday and then for Christmas as it was £13 at the time so didn’t want to justify spending the money on it. However I have fallen back in love with it and the way it makes my skin feel and it defiantly a key staple piece in my routine now. I love the way it makes my skin feel, if you ever get the chance to try it go in store and do so as it is just so soft! My only annoyance would be the fact that it is a bit more expensive now so I’m not sure it is justifiable to spend £17 on. So overall I’d rate this product a 9/10.
The next product is the Tea Tree ‘Anti-imperfection daily solution’, I honestly have been waiting to write this review for the part few days because I absolutely LOVE IT! I have always had really bad spots and skin, this means trying out product after product… BUT I have finally found a product that actually works AND it’s a reasonable price! I couldn’t rave about this product more, you simply use the pipette and use a few drops on your finger tips and cover your face with it, focusing more on the spots with blemishes. I could see results within about 10 minutes, my skin just looked so clear and in good condition. Obviously all my spots are not completely gone yet as I’ve literally been using this product two days but I can already see great results. I will definitely keep you updated as I am recommending this product to everyone I know! Also for the price it is totally worth every single penny. So overall I’d rate this 10/10!
The next product is The Body Shop ‘Wonderblur’, I really like this product. I use this after my moisturiser as the last step of my skin care routine, this is just before foundation. It is a really nice and smooth base for foundation and makes your skin soft. I can truly see the difference between using this with foundation rather than just using foundation alone. I don’t know if I will re-purchase this as I have things that are similar but I really do like it and for the price it’s reasonable. So overall I’d rate this 7/10.
Next up is the Drops Of Youth ‘Bouncy sleep mask’, I do really like this product. I try to use this every evening (if I remember) and I can truly see how it helps my skin. It gives so much moisture to my skin and makes it feel so hydrated. It looks kind of greasy when you put it on as it is so thick however that gives me hope as you can feel it hydrating the skin. In the morning when you wake up your skin feels soft and really moisturised so when it comes to putting on makeup it’s smooth. 9/10 for the rating. As you can see it comes with a little scoop that you use to get the right amount out,
Then next I picked up the ‘Atlas Mountain Rose’ Eau De Toilette. I’ve loved this scent for years and have never picked up! When I was in the shop recently they had the 100ml bottle on sale for £11 so I thought I should pick it and treat myself. It has truly lived up to the expectations and the scent lasts all day when you spray it and is really long lasting. For the price I paid it is truly worth it and I’m sure it will last a long time as its 100ml. 10/10 for rating.
Then lastly I picked up the Mineral and Ginger warming face mask. Now I haven’t actually got round to trying this product out yet due to lack of time but I have used the warming mask from The Body Shop before and I love it. The warming technology is incredible and truly feels like the product is working. Your skin feels flawless after using it. I will review the mineral and ginger new mask that I picked up in another post once I’ve tried it out a few times! But in general the warming face masks from The Body Shop are INCREDIBLE! I’d give this product a 10/10.
Thanks for reading, a bit of a longer post today.
